Don M. Goodwin, a long time resident of Lake Villa, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2012. He was born on December 31, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA to Robert Paul and Helen (nee Mason) Goodwin.
He was a Scoutmaster for 20 years for Boy Scout Troop #85 as well as an advisor for Venture Crew #185. He was also a member of Cub Scout Pack #179. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus.
Don will be deeply missed by his dear mother, Mary Cochrane; his loving wife of 35 years, Tammy (nee Schuett) Goodwin, his children Melissa (Daniel) Feltner, Robert, Timothy and Daniel Goodwin; his grandchildren Hailie, Kailyn and Raigan Feltner; and by his siblings Denise (David) Ruttan and Russell (fiancée Lynn Holl) Hartman. Other good friends and relatives also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 10 AM at St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N Wilson Rd. in Ingleside.
