David "Skip" Stone 62, of Ingleside, passed away suddenly July 7, 2012. Born on July 9, 1950, in Ft. Wayne. IN, to Earl and Etta (nee Myers) Stone.
Skip was an avid sportsman who enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He was a Vietnam veteran who served his country with pride in the U.S. Marines. He loved spending time with his family, especially his little buddy, Colin.
Skip is survived by his loving wife, Kim Stone (nee Ball/Behne); beloved mother, Etta Peters, his cherished children, Tammy and Anthony Stone, Sarah (Peter) Ludford, and Brian (Justine) Behne. His beloved sister Robin (Len) Niemi, and brothers Brett and Mark Peters. Sister in-laws, Sue (Chuck) Evanson, and Patti (Mike) Bitto; His dear grandchildren, Michael and Meghan Stone, Justin DeMars, Jordan Johnson, Isabella, Alexander, Anthony Jr. Stone, Colin, Maggie Ludford, and Kaylei Davis. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Skip was preceded in death by his dad, HO Peters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Lake Villa VFW Hall, 130 E Grand Ave., Lake Villa, IL, 60046 from 1 – 5 p.m.
